At one point I thought the defining phrase of the Bush presidency would be “intelligence failure,” but these days I think it’s actually much worse than that — I think his agenda has not only failed to make my world safer, it’s guaranteed the world my children live in will also be less safe.
I’ve been saying for a long time he made a lousy conservative, a lousy Christian and a lousy president, so I’d like to gloat as the rest of America comes around to my point of view, but it all just makes me depressed.
