Inspired by Erin Banister, I pose the question:
If you were to recommend one book — just one — what would it be? Answer quick, don’t overanalyze, and put down the first one that comes to mind.
For me, the first thing that popped into my head was War With the Newts by Karel Capek. It’s sort of Orwellian, if Orwell had been much funnier.
Come to think of it, Orwell really wasn’t very funny at all.
I’m not sure why that was the first one that sprang into my head, other than maybe it’s an excellent book few people have ever heard of. So there you go.
On a wholly unrelated note, I know why it is so, but I still think the lack of any Beatles music on the iTunes music store is a wretched state of events.
